The Golden Nipples Challenge - 3.1km open water swimming race in Repulse Bay
The course is a popular open water swim from the beach in front of the yellow tent, over the shark net, out to "The Nipples," then to the right, around the back of "The 3rd Nipple" (the big rock) and finish back at the beach.
Date: Sunday 5th April
Start time: 8am
Timing chip, age group categories (Male / Female: Under 20 / 20-29 / 30-39 / 40-49 / 50 and over), prizes for top 3 finishers in each category and overall winners. No wetsuits (if you insist on wearing a wetsuit, you will have 5 minutes added to your time). No swimming aids (ie. fins, paddles, etc.). Safety buoys required (available for purchase through the registration link and pick up on the day of the race).
For swimmers with open water swimming experience only - you should be able to finish in 90 mins or less. Freestyle only (no breaststroke).
For the safety of all the participants, please make sure that you have completed your 14-day quarantine if you (or someone you live with) have just returned to Hong Kong between March 18-22. If after March 22nd, please do not sign up for this race.
